The organization of the terrorist attack in the subway of St. Petersburg involved the participants of the international terrorist group “Katib Tauhid Val-Jihad” (banned in Russia). About it reports “Interfax” with Moscow city court.
It is noted that the group is part of the international terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia).
The court considered the petition for prolongation of arrest of the defendants in the criminal case about the attack. Almost all of them have extended the period to 3 October. A decision on another accused arrested latest, will be made later. Previously arrested were additionally charged under article “participation in a terrorist community” (article 205.4 of the criminal code).
As defendants in the case are currently 11 people who are under arrest in Moscow. Depending on the role of each they are charged with attempt to commit a terrorist act, the unlawful manufacture, alteration or repair explosive devices, committing a terrorist act by an organized group by prior conspiracy, as well as storage and transportation of explosives and explosive devices.
Victims in the criminal case found 112 people from five regions of Russia and the two States, with them still being investigation. The representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) stated that the investigation has entered the final stage.
3 April 2017 on the stretch “Sennaya Ploschad” — “Tekhnologichesky Institut” metro of Saint-Petersburg there was an explosion. Killed 16 people, injured 87, some undergo courses of treatment so far. The investigators believe that the bomb was detonated by a suicide bomber, a native of Kyrgyzstan, Akbarian Jalilov. The organizer of the attack called in the TFR Abror Azimov, and the mediator in preparing his elder brother Akram: it in Turkey received money from an active participant of the international terrorist underground.
