Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” will allow Russia to influence European policy. About it reports TASS.
According to Moravcova, the EU does not need the “Nord stream-2”, as it is not an economic but a political project. In the hands of Russia, the pipeline will become a lever of pressure not only on the European economy, but also on the policies that will lead to destabilization.
In addition to Poland, against the construction of a pipeline between Russia and Germany are the USA, the Ukraine, Denmark, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Croatia.
“Nord stream-2” will be laid across the Baltic sea. The total capacity of the project is estimated at 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The pipeline is scheduled for late 2019.
