Turkey will supply Ukraine unmanned aircraft systems, the parties also agreed to create a joint venture. On Wednesday, July 4, according to the website of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.
Ankara hosted the meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on military-technical cooperation. As noted, the parties agreed to transfer the Ministry of defense of Ukraine of advanced technologies and software in the field of communication and signed the document.
Also signed was a Memorandum on the supply of Kiev unmanned aircraft systems and establish a joint venture. In addition, Turkey and Ukraine have agreed to develop cooperation in the field of unmanned weapons systems and discussed the issue of creation of joint design office for the development of engines for armored vehicles. The Turkish side expressed interest in the purchase of transport aircraft An-178.
In early June the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu criticized the European countries that, in his opinion, began to pay less attention to the question of the status of the Crimean Peninsula. Cavusoglu said that Ankara does not recognize and will not recognize the annexation of Crimea to Russia, which he called the annexation. “Today, if you forget about Crimea, and tomorrow something will happen with Ukraine, that you will bear for it responsibility”, — he addressed to European States.
