Coca-Cola provided an opportunity for athletes with disabilities to act as flag bearers and attendants of judges on matches of the world Cup. About it reported in a press release.
Athletes will take the field before the matches of the quarterfinals of the tournament in Kazan and Samara. This event will be part of an inclusive all-Russian campaign “#Ready #to Open hearts,” which Coca-Cola launched on the eve of the world Cup.
On July 11 at the stadium “Luzhniki” in the role of flag holder will be on the field football player with down syndrome Anthony Dorokhov. Before the first half, the boy will make a flag of one of the national teams. Two more kids will be on the field in the semifinal match of the world championship in St. Petersburg.
Prior to this, four athletes with features took part in the match between Sweden and Korea in Nizhny Novgorod in the match of 1/8 final in Rostov-on-don. The world championship is held in 11 cities of Russia. The final of the tournament will be held at the Moscow stadium “Luzhniki” on July 15.
