The former chief of linear Department of internal Affairs at the airport “Vnukovo” police Colonel Igor Kukushkin sentenced on Friday, July 6, in exchange for bribes. About it “lente.ru” said Elena Markov, the official representative of the Moscow interregional investigation Department of the TFR in transport (MSUT).

“Igor Kukushkin convicted of receiving a bribe in the large size through an intermediary, sentenced to five years imprisonment and a fine in the amount of more than 7.5 million rubles, — said Markov. Mediation Alexei Bogdanov was sentenced to six years imprisonment and a fine in the amount of 5.5 million rubles.”

According to the official representative of MMSET, Colonel Kukushkin was arrested in March 2016 in his office immediately after receiving a bribe in the amount of 3980, US $ (more than 290 thousand). For the money, he turned a blind eye to the illegal movement from Turkey to Russia large parties of consumer goods.

In 2015, according to investigators, Kukushkin decided through intermediaries, bribes for the illegal importation of goods into the territory of Russia through the airport. For this, he drew his friend Alexei Bogdanov, who was involved in collecting money from interested parties, and then handed them over to the police chief Vnukovo. The activities of the corrupt officers stopped the FSB.

Then, in March 2016, the FSB opened another criminal group, smuggling of goods through the airport “Vnukovo”. Members of the group (over 20 people) had conspired with the Turkish citizens, and freely passed through the border of a large consignment of goods. It included the head of the customs office of the airport novel Korzenkov. He managed to escape from law enforcement officers, and was arrested in November 2016 while trying to cross the Russian-Kazakh border. Each of the members of this group were sentenced to two years probation and monetary fines.
