Attempt of Kiev to return the Crimea to the Ukraine by force will lead to the end state. In an interview with “Left Bank” said the former defense Minister Anatoly Gritsenko.
“If Ukraine elected President, which will begin to take away by force the Crimea and the Donbass, then the sanctions against Russia will be removed, we will introduce, and that Ukraine will end,” he said.
According to him, there is an “informal plan” to end the conflict in the Donbass, which does not force. But to implement it not in a hurry for two reasons.
“The first plan is designed for three to five years, and it will not be confirmed by authorities, who in less than a year. The second reason is the inability of the Ukrainian authorities to keep their word. Not only to their citizens but also to partners. Therefore, when the current President [Petro Poroshenko] this plan will not start”, — told ex-the Minister.
In June the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk said that the return of Crimea in the country can be resolved by granting the region a special status. In its opinion, speech can go, for example, on national-cultural autonomy. Kravchuk stressed that the Crimean issue should be considered separately from the Donbass.
Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum. The majority of voters of the residents supported the decision. Kiev refused to accept the new status of the region.
