FIFA ruled on glorifying Ukraine Croatian footballer

The disciplinary Committee of the International football Federation (FIFA) has issued a warning to the defender of Croatian domagoj Vida for his phrase “Glory to Ukraine!” delivered after the release of the Croatian team in the semifinals of the 2018 world Cup. About it reports TASS.

The disciplinary Committee reviewed the video posted after the victory of the Croats over Russia, where the protector of Croats said “Glory to Ukraine”. Saying the Species was regarded as unsporting behaviour which is contrary to the principles of fair-play.

Earlier it was reported that in accordance with the 54th article of the FIFA disciplinary code on the provocation of the General public members of the national team of Croatia can be suspended for two matches and will have to pay a fine.

The player himself explained that just kidding. “No politics. It was a joke. I have friends there from the time of Kiev “Dynamo”, nothing else and I mean had. I don’t want to mix football and politics. I love Russians I love Ukrainians, I love Brazilians, I love everyone,” he said.

On 7 July, the Croatian national team beat the Russians in the penalty shoot-out. The victory allowed the Croats to get to the world Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1998.
