Coca-Cola promotes a responsible attitude towards separate waste collection in the framework of the world Cup. About it reported in a press release.
A comprehensive system of waste collection across the 11 host cities of the tournament was part of the strategy of sustainable development of the world Cup. According to the organisers, on the grounds of the world Cup will be collected over 17 ton of aluminum cans, more than 150 tons of paper, more than 5 tons of glass and 10 tonnes of plastic (including PET bottles, packaging film, cups, and disposable devices).
The main goal of the program is to reduce the negative impact of the event on the environment through effective waste management and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.
Partner in the implementation of the campaign was Coca-Cola. 2016 Coca-Cola is implementing a public program of “Divide with us,” is directed on formation in the Russian society the culture of separate collection and recycling.
The world championship will end on 15 July at the stadium “Luzhniki”.
