Fire Vukoevich: Ramil Sitdikov / RIA Novosti
The disciplinary Committee of the International football Federation (FIFA) fined the assistant coach of the national team of Croatia Vukojevic 15 thousand Swiss francs. This was reported by the press service of the organization, reports “Interfax”.
“The disciplinary Committee has fined Vukojevic and issued a warning for “unsportsmanlike conduct” — the publication of a video in which he said: “This is a win for Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine” after the victory of Croatia over Russia”, — said in a statement. FIFA took into account the fact that Vukojevic and the football Federation of Croatia promptly apologized for the incident, and the football Federation of Croatia has been suspended midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic to work with the team.
Earlier, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee issued a warning without monetary penalty for the Croatia defender domagoj Vida, who in the same video said “Glory to Ukraine!”. The player himself later explained that I was just kidding. “No politics. It was a joke. I have friends there from the time of Kiev “Dynamo”, nothing else and I mean had. I don’t want to mix football and politics. I love Russians I love Ukrainians, I love Brazilians, I love everyone,” he said.
