Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin will leave the post of Deputy battalion commander of the army of the self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic (DND). About this he wrote in his column for the Free press.
“This summer our battalion was transferred from the regiment of special purpose in the office of missile troops: now we rocketeers. The specifics are, frankly, not mine. Well, in light of the fact that is not offensive, and in great Russia, I have two years of service, the Donbass has accumulated a lot of hovering and not solved Affairs, this July I am leaving from the post of Deputy commander of the battalion,” — wrote Prilepin.
“We cannot say that in the Donbass fronts complete silence — but the confrontation is minimized; in four years I do not remember,” — said the writer. According to him, none of the parties to the conflict will not go on the offensive, and the fight will be held under the carpet at the time of elections of the Ukrainian President in March 2019.
Prilepin also stressed that he will remain an Advisor to the head of DNR Alexander Zakharchenko, the curator of a battalion, head of the humanitarian Fund of assistance to residents of Donbass, as well as co-host of the program “Donetsk format”
Prilepin formed in the DNI his battalion in February 2017. The head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko handed him the insignia of major of the Armed forces of the DNI.
