In India scared of Russian fighters

The purchase by Pakistan of Russian fighters is a threat to India, reports the Tribune.

According to Indian newspaper, new Russian fighter jets will strengthen the Pakistani air force, which currently includes such aircraft as the Mirage III, F-104 Starfighter, F-86 Sabre, MiG-19 and Il-2.

In April the Minister of defence of Pakistan hurr Dastgir Khan told RIA Novosti on intention to buy Russian fighter of the 4++ generation su-35 “in the next few years.”

In April 2018, the media reported about the withdrawal of India from the joint programme of the FGFA (Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft), involving the creation on the basis of the su-57 India’s first fifth generation fighter.

Since 1947, India and Pakistan are in a state of military confrontation over the disputed territories of Kashmir.
