Space truck “Progress MS-09”, launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome, reached the International space station in record time. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Ballistics from Moscow mission control Center was able to implement blazing-fast scheme of the flight for which the truck has docked with ISS after 3 hours and 40 minutes after start-up, nine minutes before the estimated time. Before this record was 5 hours 39 minutes.
The truck had made only two orbits around the planet, until today, the fastest scheme was chetyrehmetrovy, lasting about six hours of flight. Standard flights takes about two hours and consists of 34 turns.
“Progress MS-09” delivered to the station about 2.5 tons of various cargoes, in particular, fuel, scientific equipment, food, medicines.
