The Ministry of labour and social protection monitors the information about the discussion of the bill on raising the retirement age on the level of regional authorities. On Tuesday, July 6, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
“According to our information, the positive feedback on the bill to raise the retirement age was sent to the lower house of Parliament authorities 61 region”, — said the Minister of labour and social protection RF Maxim Topilin.
According to him, these figures are growing every day. “The process is largely ahead of schedule, and on 16 July there is still almost a whole week,” added the Minister.
On 16 June the Cabinet of Ministers introduced to the state Duma a package of bills on changes in the pension system. In particular, it provides a gradual increase in age of retirement to 65 years for men (by 2028) and up to 63 years for women (to 2034). It is planned that the document will be considered until the end of July in the first reading.
Earlier Tuesday in support of the bill were made by the authorities of Yakutia and Primorsky Krai. Thus Yakut parliamentarians noted the need to maintain benefits for nationals working in the far North.
