In the Kremlin assess the contribution of the resigned Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain Boris Johnson in the development of bilateral relations as very modest, said press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. It was quoted by RIA Novosti on Tuesday, July 10.
“Certainly, we can appreciate the Ministers of other countries only on the basis of the criteria, what contributions they have made to the development and expansion of bilateral relations with Russia. Unfortunately, this contribution is Boris Johnson in the development of British-Russian relations it is possible to appreciate how very, very modest, to say the least,” — said Peskov.
So he answered the question about the prospects of normalization of relations between the two countries in connection with change of the head of the British foreign Minister.
Johnson resigned on 9 July. Commenting on his decision, he noted that “the country is moving towards becoming a colony.” He was against a “soft” policies of Prime Minister Theresa may concerning the country’s withdrawal from the EU.
The new Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain was the former health Secretary Jeremy hunt. He also managed to work on a post of the Minister of culture, media, Olympics and sport.
