In connection with the program of import substitution the doctors of one of hospitals of Samara refused to treat foreign drug 11-year-old girl ailing with cystic fibrosis — a genetic disease that destroys the lungs. About this in his Facebook wrote Director of the Foundation “Oxygen” Maya Sonina.

The small patient is in the clinic for three months, she is given a domestic analogue, which causes asthma attacks. The Fund sent to the institution the right medicine, but doctors don’t use. “These officials are killing the child. We are the ones required to sign a contract and donate drugs to the hospital,” —said the author of the post.

In conversation with “Such matters” Sonin said that we are talking about the drug “Meronem”. According to her, officials and the management of health facilities doctors threatened with firing and jail if they will prescribe the patient the original branded drug. The relatives of the girl did not comment on the situation and call room of the hospital.

Sonin noted that this is not the first case when from-for import substitution affects people living with cystic fibrosis.
