President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave an instruction to restore efficient operation in Orsha aircraft repair plant (OARS), whose shares belonged to the Ukrainian company “Motor Sich”. It is reported BelTA.
According to the President, the owners of the abandoned enterprises, due to that the plant was “state enterprise”. “The plant has to work, no matter what it takes. The plant not only to be the plant must have a prospect of development”, — said Lukashenko.
The President instructed to resolve all issues in respect of subordination of the enterprise. In parallel, Lukashenko criticized the Minister of transport and communications Anatoly Sivak because he had previously expressed disinterest in the fate of the plant.
“Work here, my people, your people — Belarusians, Russians — our citizens of Belarus. Who cares who owns the shares. It is our goal that the people here received a normal salary,” — said the President, addressing to the Minister.
Lukashenko did not rule out the possibility of using enterprise from the state.
In 2012 by order of the President, the stake of OARS was sold to the Ukrainian company “Motor Sich” Vyacheslav controlled Boguslaev (almost 60 per cent of the shares), and “the System of investment and innovation,” Alexander Garden (about 40 stock OARS).
Ukrainian and Belarusian companies had planned for four years to invest in the company of about $ 12 million and create more than 300 jobs. Until 2014 the company “Motor Sich” has provided 80 percent of the needs of the Russian aviation industry in the helicopter engines. However, the conflict between Moscow and Kiev have strongly influenced the work of the enterprise, was blocked by the Russian deliveries. After that, the company is targeting the markets of African and South American countries.
