“United Russia” will discuss a bill to raise the retirement age with Prime Minister and leader of the party Dmitry Medvedev. During the meeting will not be a question of the parameters of the pension reform, but can be promised additional social guarantees, reports “Kommersant” with reference to sources in the government.
It is noted that, according to the interlocutor of the edition, the meeting really did, but took them to the Prime Minister or not, is not specified.
Intra-faction Deputy group Nikolay Pankov said that members can discuss measures to reduce unemployment among people approaching retirement age and the possibility of creating an “analog “of the Moscow longevity”” programs to improve the competitiveness of pensioners in the labour market.
Earlier it was reported that the authorities of the most regions of Russia supported the pension reform.
On 16 June the Cabinet of Ministers introduced to the state Duma a package of bills on changes in the pension system. In particular, it provides a gradual increase in age of retirement to 65 years for men (by 2028) and up to 63 years for women (to 2034). It is planned that the document will be considered until the end of July in the first reading.
