Older staff will be a boon for employers after increasing the retirement age. This opinion was expressed by the head of Rostrud Vsevolod Vukolov in the framework of the round table “How to reform the pension system for sustainable socio-economic development of Russia”. His words leads TASS.
He recalled that more than half of Russians who have reached retirement age continue to work after official retirement. “The fact that the government has made today and discussing this issue is to some extent a gift to the entrepreneurs. The labor market remains quite large number of the population that wants to continue the work,” he said.
According to vukolova, now it is necessary to analyze and determine in what areas employees aged will be most effective.
The Russian government has announced a pension reform in mid-July. It is planned that the retirement age for men will be gradually raise until 2028, for the women to 2034. The beginning of reform is scheduled for 2019. Meanwhile, the state Duma considered the possibility of lowering the retirement age for women from 63 to 60 years.
