The Kremlin reacted to anti-Russian statements of trump

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of the American leader Donald trump about the dependence of Germany on the “Nord stream-2”. It is reported by TASS on Thursday, July 12.

“This is an attempt of an attack on a commercial project and a manifestation of unfair competition,” he said.

In response to the question, to complicate the statement of trump coming in the Helsinki negotiating process, Dmitry Peskov said: “They [the negotiations the heads of States] and so will be difficult, you know the volume differences, which are on the agenda, so now hardly something can be difficult”.

On 11 July President of the United States Donald trump said that Germany became a “prisoner of Russia” because of the support of the project “Northern stream-2”. A few days before that, he criticized Chancellor Angela Merkel for what the authorities don’t spend enough money on defence, prefer to pay Russia billions for oil and gas supplies.

Merkel, in turn, said that Germany is an independent policy and also stressed that Berlin does a lot to NATO, including ranks second after the US in the number of involved forces.
