Former attorney General of Venezuela had doubts about the official data on the death of Chavez

The former attorney General of Venezuela, Luis Ortega Diaz said that the President of the Republic, Hugo Chavez died in December 2012, several months before it was announced his death. This writes the newspaper El National.

“December 28, I was out of the country, I was called by the speaker of Parliament Diosdado Cabello, and said, come, Chavez died, she said. We bought the tickets, but then called again and said that Chavez is alive. I in the end, they never showed the death certificate of Chavez,” said she.

In August 2017, Luis Ortega Diaz accused the Venezuelan government of rigging the elections to the constituent Assembly, was removed from office and, fearing for his life, fled to Colombia.

Hugo Chavez died in March 2013 at the age of 58 in a military hospital of Caracas. The reason for the President’s death was cancer, which was diagnosed in mid-2011. Chavez’s remains rest in a marble sarcophagus in the Museum of the revolution in the Venezuelan capital.
