In Turkey on July 18 to end the emergency rule, valid after the attempted coup in July 2016. This was stated to journalists the press-Secretary of President Ibrahim Kalin, reports The Daily Star.

“The current state of emergency coming to an end on the night of July 18. President [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] intends not to extend it,” — said the representative of the head of state.

The Kalin added that canceling does not mean weakness of the authorities and does not allow terrorist act, RIA Novosti reported. “And if there is a threat that will require the imposition of state of emergency, he will again be introduced,” said the spokesman.

July 15, 2016 in Turkey, there was a coup which took the lives of 248 people, more than 2.7 thousand were injured. A few days after a coup attempt in the country was introduced the state of emergency, which has been repeatedly extended.

The authorities explain this by the need to combat terrorist threats. In particular, we are talking about the organization of the FETO-headed hiding in the U.S. preacher Fethullah gülen. Against the regime are the EU leaders and representatives of the Turkish opposition. In their opinion, it threatens freedom and human rights in the country.
