The most modern Russian tank T-14 “Armata” will serve in the army at least 25-30 years, after which will be replaced by the combat vehicles on “new physical principles,” reported TASS, the former head of the Main armored Directorate of the Ministry of defence of Russia the General-Colonel Sergey Maev.
“Now in the final stages of development, there are many new models of platform “Armata”, “kurganets-25”, “boomerang” and the other is the traditional means. They will last at least 25-30 years. In their place have come the types of weapons based on new physical principles,” the General said.
In his opinion, it will be possible in favorable development of fundamental science, technologies, design thinking, production and financing these components.
Robotic samples of armored vehicles, according to Maev, will appear after about 10-15 years. For this, the expert noted, the development of important components of robotics. “I mean, of course, on land. As for the air, then there is certainly potential for the use of robotic tools more homogenous than on earth,” the General added.
