Putin has called football a “special art” and declared their allegiance to hockey

Russian President Vladimir Putin will stay true to hockey. He said this to journalists at the end of the world Cup, reports “Interfax”.

“A real game of football — is a special art. I’m still in hockey practice, I will master hockey. I skate quite a bit have learned to stand, I will continue to move in this direction, he said. Each of us played soccer, kicked the ball. But this is not enough”.

Earlier on July 15, Putin thanked all those involved — from fans to volunteers — “the spirit which they breathed into the world Cup. Fans are emotional, but as it turned out, it is also very responsible people. I was surprised,” said the President.

On 15 July, the French team became the world champion. Team won over Croatia in the final match of the world Cup with the score 4:2.

After the Olympic games in 2018 in South Korea’s Pyeongchang Russia striker hockey Ilya Kovalchuk has invited Putin to play hockey, and it was approved.

Putin began to learn to skate to play hockey in the 60 years of age.
