Britain suspected Russian military intelligence in the poisoning Skrobala

Sergei Skripal, British Salisbury, probably poisoned “current or former agents of intelligence service known as GRU.” This writes the newspaper the New York Times, citing who wished to remain anonymous officials in Washington and London.

Currently, the investigators are close to identify the perpetrators of the operation. Also not ruled out the involvement of other Russian intelligence agencies or non-governmental organizations, the newspaper notes.

Main intelligence Directorate (GRU) is the foreign intelligence body of the Ministry of defense of Russia. On approval of The New York Times, this organization “is a secret strike force of the Kremlin in conflicts around the world.” In particular, GRU officers are accused of meddling in the US presidential election in 2016.

Sergei Skripal and his daughter was found unconscious in the British Salisbury in March of this year. According to London, was poisoned with nerve substance of the Novice class, developed in the Soviet Union for military purposes. Later, another two local residents were found with the same symptoms, one of them, don Sturgess, died July 9.

The British defense Ministry has accused Russia of death of women from a “Newbie”. According to the head of the office of Gavin Williamson, “Russia made an attack on British territory, which died a citizen of the UK.” Moscow denies the accusations.
