Power 77 regions welcomed the government bill on raising the retirement age, said the head of the Duma Committee on labor, social policy and veterans ‘ Affairs Yaroslav Nilov. It is quoted by “Interfax” on Monday, July 16.
“Negative comments the Committee received were reviews that contain specific suggestions for the implementation of changes in pension legislation”, — he said.
He stressed that the consolidated feedback the Committee received from more than 50 percent of the Russian regions. “The consolidated position of the region is considered when it is expressed by the highest Executive body and the Supreme legislative authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation”, — said Nilov.
He also said that feedback about the initiative can be up to 17 July.
Changes in the pension system announced by the Cabinet in mid-June. In particular, the bill provides for a gradual increase in age of retirement to 65 years for men (by 2028) and up to 63 years for women (to 2034).
