President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Russia may attack Mariupol and other ports on the Azov sea. He said this during a visit to military exercises “XI Briz-2018”, the press service of the Ukrainian President.

Poroshenko noted that in recent years Russia has increased the number of inspections of vessels bound for Ukrainian ports of the Azov sea. “We see that this is done in order to block Ukraine on the Azov sea. Implement escalation of tension, it is possible — to carry out a military operation attack on Mariupol, where the export of products of ferrous metallurgy of Ukraine, attacks on other ports of the Azov sea,” — said the President.

However, the Deputy Minister of the temporarily occupied territories of the George Tooke acknowledged that Ukraine is helpless in front of Russia in the Azov sea. “Our army to the sea there is only the absolute value. And you know it”, — he explained.
