Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin will fight with Briton Anthony Joshua, who owns champion belts of the world Boxing Association (WBA) (Super), world Boxing organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF). About this in his Twitter said Russian promoter Andrey Ryabinsky.

“Officially confirm the battle, Joshua — Povetkin in London at Wembley on September 22! The coolest will be a fight!” — wrote Rabinsky.

Povetkin is the mandatory Challenger for the WBA title. In early April of this year, the organization ordered Joshua to begin negotiations for a fight with the Russians, otherwise he could lose the championship belt. Representatives of Joshua insisted that the fight took place in the UK.

On the night of April 1, Joshua defeated the new Zealander Joseph Parker and seized the title of world champion under versions WBA, IBF and WBO. In the same Boxing evening Povetkin knocked out Briton David price.
