Ukraine was and remains in the priorities of NATO and the United States, said Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, commenting on the results of the meeting of Vladimir Putin and Donald trump in Helsinki. His words leads the Ukrainian TV channel ICTV.
“Based on my meeting with trump, which was held on the eve of the summit Ukraine-NATO, based on the documents of the NATO summit, where there is including the signature of the American President Donald trump, Ukraine was and remains among the top priorities as NATO and the United States,” — said Poroshenko.
According to the Ukrainian leader, that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin talked so much about Ukraine, so that “it is itching him”.
Earlier, after participating in the NATO summit, Poroshenko said that no one can interfere with the course of Ukraine for membership in the Alliance. “Who will speak to us the language of blackmail, he would be in isolation,” he said. In June 2017 Kyiv has called NATO membership a foreign policy priority, however, in March 2018, the special envoy of the US state Department for Affairs of Ukraine stated that the country is not ready to join the Alliance.
