Russian super-heavy rocket will be launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome in 2027, according to RIA Novosti the words of the General Director of “Rosatom” Dmitry Rogozin.
“We hope that it will go in the first flight in 2027. We have a President, and we will implement it,” — said the head of state Corporation.
The official noted that “we will talk about the new rocket”. “To create in Samara, you are actually creating a new shop due to the fact that this project is very large,” he explained.
Rogozin added that “it is planned to create a separate program for the creation of super-heavy class carrier, and this program will take work on engines running on compressed natural gas and hydrogen”.
In April, the head of the scientific and technical Council of Roscosmos Yuri Koptev said that the Russian super-heavy rocket will fly in 2028-M. According to the calculations of the state, the creation of rockets and the construction of necessary infrastructure on the Vostochny cosmodrome will require 1.5 trillion rubles.
As the first and second stages of the heavy media are encouraged to use a bunch of the first stages of the created medium rocket “Soyuz-5”. The lead developer of the super-heavy launch vehicle and “Soyuz-5” is RSC Energia (Korolev). Production is planned to organize in the RCC “Progress” (Samara).
