In the Murmansk region for the disposal site of municipal solid waste (MSW) from garbage will make liquid fuels. About this “Russian newspaper” said the Director of the regional operator for handling wastes “waste Management” Alexander Glazov.

“In 2020 we will have kiln low-temperature pyrolysis, with which we can produce from the waste liquid fuel similar to diesel fuel,” said Glazov.

According to him, for 2022-2023 years, the company plans to process up to 70 percent flowing to the landfill waste. “For example, broken glass can be used for the production of paving slabs, coatings and other products. Also out of the garbage can to produce the building materials. But it is necessary to establish the market. The use of recycled materials in Russia today, there is very weak,” he added.

First in the Arctic zone of waste sorting complex appeared in the Murmansk region at the end of last year. While the company sorted no more than 20 percent recycled materials, and all other waste is sent to landfill.

The low-temperature pyrolysis the waste is heated without oxygen in a special mine up to 900 degrees. The result is a combustible pyrolytic gases and unable to burn pyrolysis oil and bicarbon (hard coal). Combustible gases and oil can be used as fuel. Pyrolysis residues do not contain corrosive substances. The resulting product easy to store and transport.
