Moscow will help the US President Donald Trump with the establishment of bilateral relations. This was stated to journalists at a briefing in the foreign Ministry, the Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov, reports “Interfax”.
“I think he [Trump] will be very difficult. At least we will try to help as we can, the American colleagues,” — said the diplomat. According to him, in order to “move from a dead point huge chunks of contradictions” we need to start with small joint projects.
Antonov also said that the presidents of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump about anything the secret is not agreed. “Vladimir Vladimirovich told, no secret agreements, as far as I know, one of those meetings, which were held in Helsinki, was not. They were voiced loud and clear”, — he explained.
The meeting of Putin and trump was held in Helsinki on 16 July. The negotiations lasted a total of almost four hours.
On their end, trump placed the blame for the deterioration of relations on both sides. The American leader also pointed out that diplomacy is much better than hostility and conflicts, and the meeting — the beginning of a long process, and relations between Moscow and Washington began to change.
