The Russian government was developing a presidential decree on sanctions against individuals and legal entities of Ukraine. On Thursday, July 19, reports “Kommersant” with reference to sources in the White house.
According to the publication, the restrictions will affect several hundred individuals and about one hundred of legal entities, including big businessmen and of the Kiev officials. For the specific names of the responsible Ministry of Economics, Ministry of industry and trade and the Ministry of Finance. Sanctions will imply the blocking of assets of parties to list in Russia and a prohibition on withdrawal of capital.
These measures are intended to reduce the negative impact on the Russian economy in connection with the imposition of sanctions. According to the interlocutor of the newspaper, they were studied as early in 2014 as a mirrored response to the actions of the Ukrainian side.
The material is not excluded that sanctions will be symbolic in nature, as may relate to fertilizer producers, “but the import of this product in Russia is negligible, and the Russian deliveries to Ukraine Kiev and successfully blocks their sanctions”.
