A government bill on raising the retirement age has passed the first reading. About it reports TASS. For changes to the pension system voted by 327 deputies voted against 102 members of Parliament.
First reading — the formal start of large-scale public debate of the bill. It is expected that the second reading amendments will be prepared, based on advice from the expert community. Potential comments and amendments to the document as the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, will be accepted until September 24.
The speaker also noted that the first reading is only the approval of the General concept, not just a government document.
The Minister of labour and social protection Maxim Topilin during the discussion of the document in the state Duma promised that pensions Russians will grow at an unprecedented rate, and by 2024 will reach 20 thousand rubles.
The new major changes in the pension system in mid-June gave the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. He made a proposal to raise the retirement age Russians, in order to increase pension payments. Under the bill, the age of retirement for men will be increased to 65 years, and for women to 63 years. The output parameters can still change in the discussion stage in Parliament.
