Crimean authorities are planning to relocate to the Peninsula Boers (representatives of sub-ethnic groups of South Africa). Such a statement on Thursday, July 19, by a member of the banned in Russia as extremist organization “the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people” Iskander Bariev, reports the Agency “Ukrainian news”.
According to him, on the Peninsula intensified persecution of the Crimean Tatars — as part of the Russian security forces and some “asocial elements”.
“We did an analysis and there is information that today Russia is actively working on replacement of the population. In particular, in June, there were representatives of such people as the Boers, Africans of European origin. Actually, the question is now, so these people to occupy the territory of the occupied Crimea,” said Bariev.
In late may, one of the leaders of “Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people” Mustafa Dzhemilev made a statement that Russia secretly moved to Crimea to a million people from the Russian territory. In his opinion, such action seeks to “displace the local population”.
Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of voters the people of the region supported this decision. Kiev continues to consider the Peninsula as its territory, which Russia temporarily occupied.
