The Ukrainian foreign Ministry has denounced the “unfriendly remarks” the interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Salvini. This was reported on the official website of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.
“We condemn the attitude of the Italian politics that is not based on real facts and is contrary to recognized principles and norms of international law”, — said the Minister. For clarification of the position of Salvini in the Ministry invited the Ambassador of Italy in Ukraine, noted in the message.
The Ministry stressed that counting on the support of Italy in condemnation of Russia’s actions: “Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and occupation of Crimea and Donbass”.
On 19 July I called in an interview with The Washington Post 2014 Maidan fake revolution and compared its legality with the legitimacy of the referendum in the Crimea. “There are a number of historically Russian areas of the Russian culture and traditions, which legally belong to the Russian Federation”, — said the politician. According to Salvini, the Maidan in Ukraine were financed by foreign powers “like the revolutions during the Arab spring”.
July 16, Salvini said that Italy intends to the end of the year to put forward that the EU considers a question on cancellation of sanctions against Russia.
