In the hometown of national artist of the USSR Lyudmila Gurchenko — Ukrainian Kharkov was opened the monument to the actress, on the plate which was allowed a spelling error. About this in his Facebook wrote the Deputy of the Kharkov city Council Dmytro Bulakh.
People’s Deputy drew attention to the fact that the monument to the actress was named “sculptural” composition. In addition, an error has crept in the name of colleagues Bulakh, Deputy Vladimir Skorobahach, who became the “Skorobogacha”.

The opening of the monument Gurchenko was held on Thursday, July 19. The height of the monument exceeds 7.5 meters. The monument itself consists of two parts in the lower are figures of the characters in the movie with the actress, above them rises a sculpture of the father. Worked on the monument sculptor Katib Mamedov told that work on the monument lasted about two years.
Lyudmila Gurchenko (1935-2011) made her film debut while still a student. In 1956 she starred in the film by Yan Frid “Road of truth”. In the same year Gurchenko played a major role in the Comedy Eldar Ryazanov’s “carnival night” — this work, the actress received wide acclaim.
Later Gurchenko has worked with Ryazanov. She starred in such films as “nowhere Man”, “Station for two” and “these Old broads”. Other famous works of the actress are the roles in films “Twenty days without war”, “Five evenings”, “Love and pigeons” and “Beloved woman mechanic Gavrilov”. In 1983, Lyudmila Gurchenko was awarded the title people’s artist of the USSR.
