The owner of the Moscow “Spartak” Leonid Fedun said that the team needs strengthening, but admitted that in the squad and too many players. The words of the functionary leads Sport24.
“Strengthening the team has always. The question is that now we have already too much players. Where else, then? If someone leaves, then someone else will,” said Fedun.
In the current season the team of “Spartak” has added two newcomers — the French defender Samuel Gigot and the Russian midfielder Alexander Tashaev. While others advocate a red-and-white, Ilya Kutepov, who reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 world Cup together with the Russian team, actively interested in European clubs.
Last season, Spartak finished in third place in the standings of the Russian Premier League. Red-white was in the Champions League, but to participate in the group stage of the tournament will have to qualify.
