Another woman from India became a victim of the crowd that received the fake message about the abduction of children. Her body was discovered near the forest in the state of Madhya Pradesh, reports the South China Morning Post.

The police said that have arrested nine people suspected of beating a potential kidnapper. The accused told the guards that they saw the woman moving suspiciously on July 21. At the same time they received a message about gangs of criminals operating in the same area and pounced on passers-by.

“We are trying to identify the victim and distributed her photographs all police stations”, — said the head of the local police Department Riyaz Iqbal (Riyaz Iqbal).

In India WhatsApp is used by over 200 million people. For the past two months, local residents killed 20 more innocent victims because of the proliferation of fake messages. The Indian government appealed to developers with the requirement to correct the situation and prevent the spread of false messages.

As a result, representatives of the service hooked up a new feature that should automatically warn users if a message was copied or forwarded. However, even after updating the app the killings have not stopped.
