Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated that implementation of the national project “Demography”, which includes new proposals for improving the quality of life of Russians, will cost the budget more than 3.5 trillion rubles. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Money is very large. Therefore, each proposal in the project “Demography” should be targeted for maximum effect, this applies to any of our projects”, — said the Prime Minister at session of Presidium of the presidential Council for strategic development and national projects.
According to Medvedev, the implementation of the national project includes a health of older people, support for families with children, improvement of health centres and offices of medical prevention, the creation of an environment promoting healthy lifestyle and sports.
In mid-July the Russian Academy of national economy and public administration (Ranepa) conducted a study according to which Russia in 2018, could face a population decline. This can happen due to weak inflow of migrants from Ukraine and from countries of Central Asia.
