American actress Nicole Maines will be the first transgender who plays the superhero on American television. She will join the fourth season of the series Supergirl for DC comics, according to Huffpost UK.

Nicole Maines, who off screen is actively fighting for the rights of the LGBT community, will embody the hero of the transgender who are also trying to help people, including gay.

Maines was born in new York in 1997. According to her, she realized that he was someone of the opposite sex at the age of three years and independently chose a female name. At school, Nicky tried to go to the toilet for girls, but she was forbidden. In adolescence, Maynes filed and won a lawsuit against the school having the right to use the women’s toilet.
