Inflation in Venezuela can reach a million percent by the end of the year, which will lead to the worst economic crisis in modern history. On Tuesday, July 24, Reuters reported, citing data from the International monetary Fund.
Experts compared the hyperinflation in the country with a situation that was observed in Germany in 1923 and Zimbabwe in the late 2000’s.
The Venezuelan government has not yet commented on this information.
According to the Agency, consumer prices in the South American state grew by 46.3 thousand per cent. Such figures lead the country’s opposition, as the Central Bank ceased to publish financial statements.
