In Yaroslavl Zavolzhsky court arrested for two months five suspects in the torture of a prisoner at penal colony No. 1. About it “lente.ru” reported in a press-service of the court.

The first detention was signed by senior inspector of Department of safety IK-1 of Yaroslavl Maxim Yablokov. He wrote a confession and stated his desire to sign with the investigation pre-trial agreement, which guarantees him leniency in exchange for testimony.

It was he who, as reported in his telegram-channel head of the human rights group “Agora” Pavel Chikov, and gave incriminating testimony at his colleagues of Sergey Drachev and Igor Bogdanov. It is known that Yablokov 25 years, he has a criminal record for theft.

The fifth defendant in the case, the Deputy on duty IK-1, Junior Lieutenant of internal service Igor Bogdanov, refused to testify and have pleaded guilty to the crime. The sixth suspect, Alex Brovkin, also detained for two months, until September 22. It was noted that the incident occurred last summer, and the prisoner’s name is James Monroe. The alleged reason for the torture was disrespectful to one of the employees of the institution on the part of the victim. On the same day, the Investigative Committee initiated proceedings on excess of powers of office. Were arrested six suspects, 17 prison staff suspended from work.
