Greek PAOK proved to be stronger than Spartak Moscow in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League: meeting in Thessaloniki, ended with the score 3:2. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
In the seventh minute of the match the score was opened by Bulgarian midfielder of “Spartacus” ivelin Popov. Ten minutes later the Dutchman Quincy promes doubled the advantage of the Muscovites. In the 29th minute, the Greeks reduced the gap in score: a penalty kick converted by Alexander Prijovic. In the 37th minute Dmitris limnios a closed transfer from the right flank and scored the second goal for the Greeks, making the score 2:2. A minute before the end of normal time in the first half PAOK went ahead — goal was scored by Dimitris Pelkas.
In the second half of the meeting in gate of Greeks has been appointed a penalty kick, but goalkeeper Alexandros Paschalis guessed the direction of impact of Promesa and hit the ball.
The return match will take place on August 14 in Moscow.
