Non-commodity non-energy exports of Russia in the first half of 2018 grew by 23 percent compared to the same period a year earlier. This was stated by the head of the Russian export centre (REC) Andrei Slepnev. His words, reports the newspaper “Izvestia”.
According to the official, the leaders in overseas shipments of steel metallurgy, food industry, production of pulp and paper products. The total volume of non-oil exports in the first half of the year reached 70 billion rubles.
A considerable role was played by last year’s record harvest of wheat — 134,1 million tons of grain. Thanks to him, abroad managed to send grain at $ 3.2 billion (an increase of 1.4 billion).
Positive dynamics, according to Slepnev, there is the 20th month in a row. In addition, managed to achieve supply diversification: geographic and nomenclature. However, the share of non-oil export in the total volume of foreign contracts still accounts for only 33 percent.
In “may” decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin contained a provision about the necessity of doubling non-oil exports by 2024 — up to 450 billion dollars per year.
