Unmanned aerial vehicle developed in Tatarstan by the order of the Ministry of defense of Russia successfully tested. About it at the exhibition “Kazan Akto 2018,” said the rector of Kazan national research technical University albert Gilmutdinov, reports TASS.
“Tilt-rotor osprey, which takes off like a helicopter and then flies like a plane, tested really flies, made by order of the defense Ministry. A range of 100 kilometers, a cruising speed of approximately 100-140 kilometers per hour, can hover like a helicopter, i.e. a combination of helicopter and airplane,” — said the head of the University.
Takeoff weight of unmanned heliplane is 6.7 kilograms. The car is able to levitate 1 kg payload (photographic, thermal, etc.). The aircraft can be used in energy and communications, road and agriculture, oil and gas production.
Among the advantages of the aircraft is the lack of need for a runway, modular Assembly, and technologies, designed for mass production.
Currently, USA is commercially available manned tiltrotor Bell V-22 Osprey flight weight of 27.4 tons, capable of speeds up to 509 kilometers per hour in airplane mode. Since 1988, produced over 300 of these machines cost about $ 70 million each.
