The government responded to Putin’s proposal on pensions

The proposals of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on easing the regulations of the pension reforms require from the government special responsibility, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. It was quoted by RIA Novosti on Wednesday, August 29.

Medvedev instructed Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova in the shortest possible time to submit proposals for implementing pension initiatives of Putin.

Earlier Wednesday, the head of state announced the easing of the provisions of the pension reform, which in mid-June announced Dmitry Medvedev. In a televised address to the citizens, the President announced that the authorities intend to reduce the retirement for women to 63 years, as was in the original draft, up to 60 years in the new version.

Putin also said that the main purpose of the changes is to ensure the sustainability and financial stability of the pension system of Russia for years to come.
