Since the beginning of 2018 in Russia rose spirits: vodka, gin and absinthe. Their prices for the first seven months of the year increased by 6-8 percent, according to “Izvestia”, citing data from the company “Taxcom” gathering information with the online ticket offices throughout Russia.
In July, the average price of a bottle of vodka amounted to 207 rubles, which is eight percent higher than in January. The price of gin has increased by seven percent to 593 rubles, absinthe — six percent to 320 rubles.
The rise in price has concerned also rum and brandy, though in a slightly smaller scale: five percent in both cases to 626 and 439 million, respectively.
As the newspaper notes, the rise in prices not associated with an increase in excise taxes for spirits — with the beginning of 2018, its value has not changed and is equal to 523 rubles per liter of absolute alcohol. The nearest increase is planned only for 2020.
According to interlocutors of the newspaper, rising prices caused by the devaluation of the ruble, as most of the alcoholic beverages imported. In recent years their market share has increased and they have an impact on the average level of prices.
August 20 and increased the minimum retail price of vodka by a fortress less than 40 degrees. Now she is tied to the price of 40-degree drink — 205 rubles per half-liter. This has already led to a rise in price of 37-38 degrees vodka, and nine rubles and 38-39 degrees on four of the ruble.
