Russia asked the U.S. to stop to stand up for the excesses of the sea Ukrainians

The Russian Embassy in the United States called on Washington to stop stand up for “disorderly on the sea of Azov wards”. This is stated in the statement of the Russian diplomatic mission in Facebook.

“The state Department has attended a legitimate stops for inspections of vessels in the sea of Azov. Stops. Not arrests, not detentions. It is noteworthy that out of “hundreds” of ships not named no. The state Department […] ignores the facts of Ukrainian piracy. For example, the seizure of the trawler Nord Ukrainian border guards. The state Department is silent about the fact that on 10 August, Ukrainian law-enforcers blocked in the port of Kherson the Russian tanker “Mekhanik Pogodin”,” — said the diplomat.

“We urge the Americans to stop to stand up for rampaging in the sea of Azov wards”, — concluded the representatives of the diplomatic mission.

On August 30 the head of the press service of the U.S. Department of state Heather Nauert said that Russia has detained since April, hundreds of commercial ships and stopped at least 16 ships that tried to reach the Ukrainian ports. “The United States condemns the Russian threat to international shipping in the Azov sea and the Kerch Strait,” she said, adding that us Department of state calls on Russia to “stop harassing international shipping”.

The Crimean fishing boat “Nord”, flying the Russian flag, was detained in the sea of Azov Ukrainian border in March. All ten crew members have Russian passports, but Kiev considers them citizens of Ukraine. They were accused of “violating the order of entry in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and departure from it” because the ship was at a port in the Crimea, which Ukraine considers its territory.

“The mechanic Pogodin” was detained in the port of Kherson on August 10 the Ukrainian authorities. The crew consists of 12 citizens of Russia. 16 Aug aboard “the Mechanic Pogodin” twice tried to penetrate the unknown. On 17 August, the Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced that Ukraine could confiscate Russian tanker “to cover losses”.
