The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia plans before the end of the year to offer new approaches to the algorithm of pricing on the tickets. This was stated by the head of Department Igor Artemyev. His words on Saturday, September 1, leads TASS.
The head of FAS announced that the service had completed the review of foreign systems reservation and ticket sales, including the Sabre and Amadeus. “In General, of course, we have big claims to pricing in this sphere,” — said Artemyev. “We are determined before the end of this year to make some changes in the approaches to pricing, which today are dictated by these systems and the management”, he added.
As explained by the head of the Agency, the current prices “too high, and in some cases are generally exorbitant and unreasonable”.
In August it was reported that the prices of flights from Russia abroad rose due to the fall of the ruble. As reported the representative of the company tutu.ru, tickets for foreign destinations went up by 5-8 percent. According to the ticketing Agency Biletix, the ticket price with free Luggage on the flight from Moscow to Barcelona and back increased by 5-15 percent, and from Moscow to Paris and back by 6-10 percent.
