The members of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) threaten Britain and Western Europe. The Minister of defence of great Britain Gavin Williamson said in an interview to television channel Sky News.

“We are constantly witnessing terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan, proof of their relationship not only with the United Kingdom, but from across continental Europe”, — he said during a trip to the locations of British forces in Afghanistan.

According to the head of the Ministry of defence, London sees a real threat to the UK posed by the militants. The authorities intend to act in order to prevent the recurrence of the attacks, in Manchester in 2017. Then the explosion at the concert claimed the lives of 22 people, another 120 were injured.

As the channel, thousands of militants have arrived in Afghanistan from Iraq and Syria. The words of Williamson reveal that the group is more organized than expected, says Sky News. However, this position does not agree with General John Nicholson, who previously headed the international coalition forces in Afghanistan. He argues that ISIS in the country could replenish its ranks with fighters from other extremist organisations, but in General is losing members and positions.

In August it was reported that a sniper from the Special airborne service (SAS special forces British armed forces) with one shot from a heavy machine gun killed the gunman, is located more than one mile (1600 meters).
